Settings Overview

Settings in CarDeer allow administrators to configure various aspects of the application, from general details and payments to location-based features, security measures, and more.

The settings section is divided into the following subsections:
  • General Settings: Basic site information and functionalities.
  • Ad Settings: Configuration related to ad postings.
  • Ad Location: Location-based settings.
  • Payments: Payment gateway configurations.
  • File Storage: Storage of uploaded files.
  • Email: SMTP settings for email sending.
  • Ad Placements: Placement of ad codes.
  • Scripts: Custom scripts addition.
  • SEO: Search Engine Optimization settings.
  • Social: Social media profile links.
  • Security: Security-related configurations.
  • Country: Manage countries for ads.
  • Currency: Add or update currencies.
  • Languages: Manage language settings for the platform.
  • Appearance - Configure the overall look and feel of the site.
  • Footer - Customize the footer sections displayed on the site.
  • Watermark - Add a watermark to images across the site.
  • Style - Customize the site’s appearance using CSS.
  • Verification - Configure document requirements for user verification.
  • Login OTP - Enable One-Time Password (OTP) authentication for user login.
  • Auth - Configure authentication settings for enhanced security and login options.
  • Google Location - Enable location-based services using Google’s API.
  • Live Chat - Configure live chat features for real-time communication.
  • User - Manage user permissions and ad display settings.
  • PWA - Configure Progressive Web App (PWA) settings for your site.
  • Backup - Schedule and configure backups for data protection.

Section Details:

General Settings
  • Admins can define the site name, tagline, description, upload logos, set the favicon, specify the default language, update contact details, and enable/disable cookie consent.

Ad Settings

  • Includes default ad duration, maximum images per ad, and admin approval requirement for new ads.

Ad Location

  • Configure Google Maps API Key, allowed countries, default country, and search radius.

Payments

  • Settings for currency, tax enablement, and exchange rate.

Ad Placement Settings

  • Define codes for ads to be placed after the header and before the footer.

Script Settings

  • Insert custom scripts in the head and/or body of pages.

SEO Settings

  • Set meta title, meta description, OG image, social media usernames, and enable sitemap generation.

Manage Auth Settings

  • Enable Google reCAPTCHA and Google Login with client ID and secret.

Languages

  • Manage language settings for the platform, ensuring a multi-lingual user interface.
Appearance 
  1. Admins can modify the primary and secondary theme colors, enable the theme switcher, toggle contrast mode, adjust the contrast mode setting, upload a home page banner image, and select a site-wide font.
Footer 
  1.  Admins can manage predefined and custom footer sections such as Site Info, Popular Categories, Company, and Policy. Each section can be edited to update its content and adjust what is displayed in the website footer.
Watermark
  1. Admins can enable the watermark feature, upload a custom watermark image, and specify its position on the images (e.g., bottom-right).

Style Settings

  1.  Admins can inject custom CSS styles into the site by pasting code directly into the provided field, allowing for personalized design adjustments.
Verification
  1.  Admins can enable specific document types, such as Government-Issued ID, Driver License, and Passport, and set options for each, including whether a back image or a selfie is required. Toggle each document type on or off as needed for the verification process.
Login OTP 
  1. Admins can toggle OTP login, configure Twilio settings by entering the Twilio SID, Auth Token, and From Number. These settings enable OTP messages to be sent to users for secure login.
Manage Auth
  1. Admins can enable Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam, activate Google Login by entering the Google Client ID and Google Client Secret, and add custom fields for user registration to tailor the sign-up process.
Google Location 
  1. Admins can enable the Google Location API by entering a Google API Key and toggle the option to allow users to search for locations by ZIP code, enhancing location-based functionality on the platform.
Live Chat
  1. Admins can enable live chat by configuring Pusher settings, including the Pusher Key, Secret, App ID, and Cluster. Additional options include enabling Encryption for security, Uploading Attachments for file sharing, Audio Recording, Emojis, and a New Message Sound notification. Admins can also specify allowed file types, image extensions, and set the maximum file upload size.
User
  1. Allow users to edit their email and set the max character limit for ad titles.
PWA Settings
  1. Admins can set the app Name, Short Name, Start URL, Display Mode, Background Color, and Theme Color. Add a Description and upload icons for various sizes to complete the PWA setup.
Backup
  1. Admins can set the Backup Frequency, Backup Time, and Retention Days to manage how often backups are run and retained. Choose Backup Destinations (e.g., local, S3, media) and enter a Notification Email for backup alerts.
